I play several instruments: Piano, keyboards, Cajun accordions, guitar, and autoharp.

I also write Music Box melodies and Polyphon Music Box melodies. The main difference between a Music Box, and a Polyphon, is that Music Boxes can only play high notes because of their little tines. Polyphons, on the other hand, played their music on large metal discs that could play both very high notes and very low notes.

A lot of these Polyphon songs used to be installed in large Grandfather clocks. My Grandmother, Ruth, was a very hard-working Cajun woman. Her husband, my Grandfather was a hard-working Cajun Blacksmith and Carpenter. They both loved music very much, and we had one of big ol' clocks in our house when I was growing up.

My Grandparents are gone now, and I don't live in Louisiana anymore. I've moved around the country a lot, and now I live in Minnesota. Don't ask me why. I just do.

A lot of my Cajun friends wanted me to write a Cajun Polyphon melody for them. As far as we know, no one has ever written a Polyphon Music Box melody for the Arcadian people, and their culture.

This Polyphon music box melody is called "Joli"
If you would like to hear this melody, please click this like below, and look for the audio on my profile called "Joli"

I sincerely hope that you like this first-ever Music Box Melody written for the Cajun people, and their culture.
